SDN’s team of physiotherapists provide hydrotherapy to develop children’s land-based gross motor goals through low impact exercises. Hydrotherapy pools are heated to 33-34°C, with the outside air temperature maintained at 28°C.
Our physiotherapists that specialise in hydrotherapy can help with:
- Muscle strengthening
- Alleviating joint pain and stiffness
- Improved postural control and endurance
- Alleviating pain and muscle spasm
- Increasing confidence in handling children in the water
Because our physiotherapists also work as keyworkers as part of a transdisciplinary team, they have access to the expertise of our team of occupational therapists, speech pathologists, psychologist, social workers and early childhood specialists should you child ever need it.
The clinic is open to all children with an NDIS package who are currently receiving services through SDN Disability Services. New clients under the NDIS and those who wish to self-fund are also welcome.
